Frequently Asked Questions

What do you use for a base?

We use sand as it won’t soak up water and expand, leading to the movement of stones. It also keeps down on weed growth since it doesn’t offer a solid rooting system, nor does it offer a nutrient-rich growing environment.

Why is it so expensive to install paving stones?

The key to properly installing paving stones is to build a solid base. As such, this requires significantly more work than simply laying the stones down on a level surface. Typically, we do light excavation to haul out unstable dirt, haul in gravel, compact it, laser level the area, and more.

How long do paving stones last?

Paving stones are some of the most durable material we work with, and you can expect them to last for decades. There are even still paving stones out there that the Romans built!

How do I clean paving stones?

Your paving stones can be easily cleaned by sweeping them, or hosing them down with water in the summer months.

What are the different paver stones can I choose from?

There are many different paving stone styles and colours available, so you can choose any option to suit your taste. Contact us to see our full selection of quality paving stones.
